Our focus is to pursue opportunities while keeping risk paramount in our considerations.

During the past several decades, ultra-wealthy investors and institutions such as pensions, foundations and endowments have dramatically changed the way they manage their portfolios in order to achieve higher returns with less volatility. Different markets demand different solutions: Efficient markets call for indexing; less efficient markets reward active management; alternative investments provide risk management and enhanced yield opportunities, both of which are crucial in this low interest rate, highly correlated traditional market environment in which we find ourselves.

At Northern Lights Capital of Aligned Capital Partners, we help our clients manage their investments in the same way these institutions and ultra-wealthy people do. Institutional-style portfolio management for individual investors in our view is an enhanced focus on loss mitigation rather then return-chasing and we take a holistic view of our clients’ financial and life situations to design individualized portfolios that meet their specific needs.
